Letter from the Owner
I've been trying to reach you by phone today you are a difficult man to contact,.
My new restaurant is of course in Jomtien Complex just across from the "Over the Rainbow and the Bondi Hotel. We are having a soft opening on Friday the 30th at 7-9pm. all are most welcome Come try the samples of our cuisine for free. Drinks will be extra. We have a large selection of wines from Chile, France, Australia etc. and a good selection of the hard stuff and beer. Please email me and let me know what you like to drink also.
My love and I have spent over 2 million baht in the last 2 months buying wood sculptures hand made pottery and numerous Items to outfit our beautiful new Restaurant.
We now have a huge projector screen for our movie nights and comedy brunches. I have 500 classic to modern films in my library with favorite tv shows like I love Lucy, Golden girls, Bewitched, Munsters, are you being served, Frasier. Angels in America, queer as folk and many more.
My family heritage boasts two 5 star restaurants.My uncle Jim Bryant was the owner of Bryant's Cafe, the number one restaurant in Helena Montana in the 30's during the gold rush and creator of many famous classic American western dishes. Prime rib with horseradish and au jus, just to name one. People would come from 5 states to get his cu sine. In 1970 when I was still just a lad I had the great privilege of working for him. Hewas truly agreat human being, loved and revered by everyone who knew him. And there were thousands. His best customer was the famous western artist Charlie Russell. My uncle's home had dozens of Russell's paintings. Which were usually traded for food and drink.
Now the food, I have saved the best till last. What is California Cuisine you might ask? Its just stuff that I like, with natural ingredients like real butter and fresh cream. I plan to have just a few dishes available each night. Depending on what looks good that day at the market.
We will not be open for the public at night yet but If your planning on a nice dinner party for 8-12 let us know at 06-0089469 and we will take care of you and your friends. That way we can ease into the flow of things around here.
Wewill start you out with one of our appetizerslike spring rolls, or my favorite pate. I also worked with the master chef at the Esscofier in the Beverly Hilton so my tastes are broad.
My two favorite soups will be offered each day. Mother's split pea and ham and Corn chowder with real Cream.
The Salad will be a fresh tossed with red lettuce grated carrots, cucumbers, and my own secret house honey mustard dressing.Or a nice bleu cheese dressing.
Some of the dinner Items will be;
Chicken cordon bleu
Chicken curry
Chicken Marsala
Pork fillet with white wine and mushrooms
Broiled salmon
To compliment the meal we will have slivered carrots in a butter and lemon sauce, young snow peas, and the best wild rice pilaf in the world, or garlic mashed potatoes.
Our rolls are home made garlic and onion, the dough is also used to makeour huge sandwich bunsfor brunch.Some of the choicesare; rotisserie chicken with my own special garlic and lime basting, Yorke's ham, bacon and sausages
Brunches will include grandma's potato salad and Cole slaw. And mother's fresh fruit salad with pineapple and coconut juice.
Waffles and pancakes with real maple syrup build your own omellette or sandwich.
Now the toppers. My own family recipes for desserts;
Banana bread
Chocolate chocolate cake
Brownies
Chocolate chip cookies
persimmon cookies (a must try)
chocolate mouse
