Unpegging of the Chinese yuan to currencies
Whilst not directly linked to Thailand, I did wonder why there has been movement in the Thai currency, albeit not much, but the Chinese have (I think a while ago actually, but I didn't pick up on it) floated the yuan, and today it was a record high against the US dollar. That would answer why there has been some movement in the Thai bht.

 So it's China, not Vietnam?
Hmm, I had been reading that the troubled Vietnamese dong was the thing to worry about:

Lovely name for a currency, that.

Gotta go to Hanoi as it must be the sex capital of the world. Think of it, over
16,000 dongs for a dollar!

"Nazi Turd & Board Shit Head?" You cut off jinksie from some sex or some such thing? You better send him some flowers ("flowers" is a Patong Beach ladybody who can suck the chrome off a bumper hitch....).
