Typhoon Kai-tak likely to cause heavy rain
Tropical storm Kai-tak has developed into a typhoon and is expected to cause heavy rain in the North and South. Rain will continue in the Northeast, the Central Plains and the East, according to the Meteorological Department.
The typhoon is expected to enter the Gulf of Tonkin and make a landing in Vietnam tomorrow.
It will not have any strong impact on Thailand, except for heavy rains and two-metre-high waves in the Gulf of Thailand.
Downpours are expected in Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Phayao, Nan, Phangnga and Phuket."
