Thanks Smiles...I almost forgot about the wonderful memories of the days-gone-by.



Maybe it's the recent trend on our board where some members seem to be disappearing or just choose to become transparent by masking their identities...who knows, but anyway I followed your lead and revisited the old PG archives only to find myself sitting in a deep fog of nostalgia.



Maybe it's time that we re-kindle some of those memories...what d'ya say...how about "The Return of Motorbike Boy" for starters.



 

Ahhh yes, I still fondly miss that board.



When I first started to visit LOS that was the thing that allowed me to find my feet. I met up with Geezer and David-in-Pattaya on a couple of visits and they in turn introduced me to others.



My 6-montly visits to LOS these days is done without contacting the regulars but I often wonder if I am the one mising out on some of the background info that only the residents can provide.



This board serves a great purpose - and even though sometimes it gets a bit much the value is still there.



I know one thing - there is no way I would run a public forum like this - the moderator needs a bloomin medal!

Pure whimsy, combined with a touch of "flu-like symptoms" has me sitting in front of this computer ~ sipping soup!? ~ for too long these last 2 days (unable to do much which takes physical  exertion) caused me to take a look through the PattayaGay message Board Archives.  

The search feature on the XMB Board is light years ahead of the one offered here by EZBoard, and makes things a breeze to find by simply plugging in the handle of a favourite poster or a mortal enemy. ( Not that I did that   )



The things I came up with in half an hour or so were both  nostalgic and invariably familiar . . . same names, similar fights, similar great humour, similar obsessions, same idiosyncracies, same talent etc etc etc



Frankly, I think the PattayaGay Board was ~ for a couple of years ~ a moment in time.  It was (IMPO) a house of inspired postings every once in awhile, and to be honest I thought (maybe just a naive nostalgia?) the underlining joi de vivre was more conspicuous back then (it was only just over a year ago that the Board was dissolved.



I'm glad Allen decided to at least leave the Board up as archives . . . and I'm glad the search engine works so well that it's relatively easy to resurrect posts by "Author" or 'Subject" if one is of a mind to.
