Open 7 days a week with all tickets at fixed price B1500 for the show only.
It's a place in the Phuket Fantasea and Pattaya Alankarn mould. It's in Bangkok near the Thai Cultural Center. If you get the subway to that station and go to Exit 1 they have shuttles to the showground.
There are shopping opportunuties, a Thai orchestra playing and dancers in the main square where you can feed and elephant for 30 baht. You can stroll round a mock Isaan village which is suffering from drought and go for a boat trip round aa algae coated pond.
There is a splendid new theatre seating 2000, though on Sunday the audience was nearer 200. The show is a series of tableaux Lanna, Sri-Wichai, Isaan/Khmer, Ayutthaya, Prayom/Hell, etc. These are pleasantly and professionally done. I almost stayed awake and fled before the end.
I don't want to be unkind. I thoroughly enjoyed Fantasea, I have enjoyed Thai culture shows at the Rose Garden and Nong Nooch Gardens, I have had fun at Simon Cabaret and a dinner theatre in Chiang Mai but this left me very flat.
I sincerely hope that it is just teething problems because huge amounts of money have been invested here. There seems to be a total lack of theatrical impact about the whole entertainment which is sad.

The highlight of my evening was the band and the ranak player was terrific. Edited by: wowpow
