So I know it's going to be out of season, hot and humid....but I'm going anyway. Does anyone have any advice on places to drink/play/mess around? I'm staying at a nice hotel in the Colonial Zone near everything I hear. Also, looking for a local guide to show me around the first night.

From my sources, Bar Friends is still the source of $ guys. If you don't want to walk there, walking around the Conde should do the trick, or if you are tired of walking, just sit at Pacos. There is also the bugaron section at Jay-dee's.

From my sources too, a lot of hotels are having stricter rules regarding overnight visitors.

First of all...do NOT do business with a guy named John/Juan Rodriquez who owns Santo Domingo (Gay) Tours and Cabarete Colors Hotels. The guy is a crook and he is listed on many websites as such. He gets people to prepay for tours and them doesn't show up or follow through. He's the worst of the Dominican scumbags! Word to the wise hopefully is sufficient.

Secondly, other than the above, I enjoyed my trip tremendously and found the scenery and people wonderful. It is a very poor country and you are reminded of that everywhere you go. Reminded me in some ways of Peru with the number of beggers. Do NOT go walking around at night unescorted. If you look at all Anglo you're just asking for trouble.

Bar Friends is a trip. BIG time hustler place in a seedy area of the Colonial Zone. I had at one time five guys surrounding me...all were pretty hot with BIG cocks (uncut). There was no way I was going to take one of them back to the Hilton though. Any of them would have done it in the bathroom for 20-30 bucks easily.

The Cine Lido is an old movie theater that shows bad straight porno every night for 4 hours. It's hot, muggy and filled with some pretty seedy types. It was there, however, that I sucked on one of the world's most beautiful cut cocks. He wanted money from me but when I walked away he decided that he just wanted head. Honestly, it was so hot and uncomfortable I could only do it for a few minutes. My shirt was drenched and I was feeling dizzy. Great place for cock though.

Cha is a very chic, upscale club that is fun for a drink. It's right on the Malecon next to Vesuvius one of the top restaurants. There is another bar called Ezkecial or something like that I went to that was small but nice, clean and with a much better clientele. Met some wonderful locals and some Europeans there. It's not a hustler place and the owner is Spanish with a hottie black Dominican lover (also very nice).

Esedeku. I stopped going there when I overhead the owner tell a couple of guys to stop kissing "porque hay personas normales." That is, please stop kissing because there are normal persons. Normal? As if any straight person who enters that bar does not know what kind of owners they are. Little pretentious bar.

Can someone give me more details on the Cinema Lido? - Where? - What is the cost? - Mostly Gay or Straight Trade? - What days are best to visit and what time? -  Are they looking for money in there? or just guys looking to get off? -   Please tell all, cause I am thinking of going back to Santo Domingo soon.

Also, where else in the DR or Santo Domingo can you go and the boyz are ready to go at a moments notice?
