I had not been to Emporium for a few months and what changes they have made:
The ground floor perfumery has been floored in white and new lighting and stuff make it very shiny.
There is a new food court on the top floor and it's even better than Loft at Central Chitlom. Very shiny and with a range of food outlets including Wittard of Chelsea tea and coffees, Tony Romas Ribs, Isaan food, Japanese and lots of alternatives. The staff are very well trained and extra helpful.
There are Three Dimentional Televisions everywhere with adverts and info. They are absolutely amazing and the objects seem to show infront of the set and deep inside. To be honest not many people seemed to notice them. I was gobsmacked.
The Supermarket is transformed with new flooring and shelving gondolas. It's bright and spacious with a great new fresh foods section and Pure meats (no additives hormones or other nasties). Some prices seemed cheaper than Pattya's Carrefour.
There are several new shops in the food area by the supermarket. Starbucks has doubled in size. One very cute shop was Phlo which had tiny buns - smaller than a golf ball - which they sold in sets or individually with sandwich and salad fillings. Also at Phlo were tiny plants which were a carrot strip plantpot filled with tiny sprays of salads - sooo cute.
The wine shop has reduced in size but never seems to have any customers. The aisles are still blocked with shelf staking stuff and an assistant has to shadow you making inane remarks - it always makes me run away.
I did find a bargain at the Vertu shop area. A neat little grill oven reduced 50% to B1190 with a stainless steel outer. My stove has a grill which takes 20 minutes to get hot. This little thing produced my cheese on toast in 7 minutes from cold. Edited by: wowpow
