To clarify, I am talking aboit the Thai ceremony, not the Brit one. This was posted in response to Smile's post about goosesteps.
At the Thai version, the multicoloured uniforms look very cute, but its a bit offputting when they start goosestepping.

Very true. But the Thai army does on certain ceremonial occasions, such as the Trooping of the Colour, Thai version.

Rather than goose-stepping in full cold-weather garb such as depicted above, perhaps goose-stepping in kilts would be an appropriate adaptation for the Thai tropical climate and handsome Thai soldiers?

well frankly I think it's a bloody good idea..the idea of at least a few minutes blessed relief from the relentless dodging of motorcycles would be heaven..plus the Thai national anthem is among my favorite.
