Pride Week 2012 is coming to Phuket later this month, as local organisation, Phuket Loves You (PLU) has been named to produce this year’s event.
Organisers of this year’s event, Phuket Pride, have said that this year’s goal was to create a sense of community between both Thai and foreigners within the gay community as a whole.
Phuket’s Pride Week will take place later this month from April 23 to 27.
2012 Phuket Pride Week will commence on the evening of April 23rd with a screening of the film “Living with the Tiger”. This will be followed by a large street party in the heart of Phuket’s gay tourist area at Soi Paradise in the Paradise Complex, Patong.
Each day, special events and activities take place for members of the community, including scuba diving, tours, lectures with special guests and much more. Once the sun goes down, the fun continues with the Soi Paradise Street Party from 10pm every night of Pride Week.
The event will conclude on April 27 with a Big Stage Show and Outdoor Party to be held at Loma Park, right on Patong Beach. The free event will start at 6pm, with special guests including Australian peerormer, Alannah aka Clark Ryan.
