With a visa run coming soon , some friends want to journey up north to Nong Khai to go to Laos over Friendship Bridge..Article in new Sticky Rice discusses gay/gay friendly hotel with local boys visiting...

Anyone go or have any experience with Pantawee Hotel and is it worth a couple of days to visit and enjoy???  

Yes, I have experience.  I can’t post it due to the defamation laws of Thailand.  I am not joking.

I am guessing from geezers' response that this hotel is not quite the paradise Mr. John attests to in Sticky Rice..  I do wonder what the problems were but understand geezer is unwilling to explain for legal reasons.. Anyone else out there have any experience here??  As of now I think it prudent to take a room elsewhere but I am curious if someone else can enlighten on this gay/gayfriendly hotel/bar ...  

I suppose I can say a little more.  The hotel it’s self is entirely satisfactory in every way.  It even has a computer with good internet access in each room.  The French toast and bacon for breakfast are the best I have had anywhere.  If I have a reason to return to Nong Khai I shall probably stay at the Pantawee.



Some guests may find other diversions which are implied in the Sticky Rice article to be beneath their expectations.
