Lady Rothschild thinks Obama is elitist
http://opinion.latimes.com/opinionla/20 ... n-sar.html

So it's official then-Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild ( born in New Jersey) has called Barack Obama an "elitist" and is voting for John McCain ( if he still remembers in November he's running for office)
For those who are not quite up to speed-Lady Rothschild was worth about $100M before she married her husband who is worth 10 times that.
They live in a humble shack in Buckinghamshire in the UK:

Reminds of that plucky gal Eva Peron when I was sent by the Daily Express in 1950 to profile this champion of the impoverished classes.

One minute we were downing Bolinger in the Presidential Palace and next-Eva had stepped out onto a balcony where a sea of Argentinan peasants stretched as far as the eye could see, calling for "Evita-Evita...."

Eva fixed them with a compassionate eye and yelled her rallying cry....'we-the shirtless are united !" to howls of delight-flinging her arms in the air to her worshipping throng, as a dozen Cartier diamond bracelets cascaded down her wrists.

get a food taster now John McCain ! Sarah Palin is right behind you.
who are all these people in my room ?

Don't cry for me, Argentina

PostAuthor: Henry Cate » Tue 23 Sep, 2008 10:48 am

Oh that description is so moving.

You forgot to mention the descent of Argentina into economic chaos. As my Argentinian friend used to say, "Argentina used to be the land of plenty."

But your favorite guys, the Peronistas, took care of that pretty quick, didn't they?

Don't forget Burma!
“Avoid whatever is approved of by the mob, and things that are the gift of chance. Whenever circumstance brings some welcome thing your way, stop in suspicion and alarm ...They are snares. ... we think these things are ours when in fact it is we who are caught. That track leads to precipices; life on that giddy level ends in a fall.” - Seneca

This is what happens when an elitist tries to be like one of the little people. Am I a bad person for finding this hysterical?

An election campaign staff of Leena Jungjunja drowned Thursday morning when was demonstrating how to bathe in a canal as part of her election campaign.

Theerasak Sitanon was swept away and drowned while demonstrating how to bathe in the Samwa Canal in Klong Sama district.
