Getting a phone line seems difficult. A friend wants to get one so he can then get ADSL but TTT say they have no numbers and TOT have a six month waiting list. It may depend on where you live.
I have ADSL with JiNet and i mostly get over 200kps which is fine. I pay B1000 a month with a years contract. Installation was a nightmare. Having checked with all concerned that it would work with an Apple iMac I bought but found it would not work and their engineers did not know how or why. Eventually I had to buy and pricey 'router' and hire a computer expert to get it working. Now we have an Apple shop in Pattaya with engineers so no more problems. I have a spare modem going begging if anyone wants one. They would not take it back as it was free.
I am delighted to learn that GSM are now improving their customer service and combining their National and International call charges onto one Invoice - WOW! With a mobile and a landline I used to get 4 or more bills a month.
I thought I would get the charges put on my credit card. I avoided Direct Debit as the last time it took 4 months to get it working and then I found out they don't all send you an invoice. It is sent to your bank.
I talked to GSM Customer Service and they told me that I had to go to a local shop. I asked if I could do it on the Internet and they said yes. I tried but their website is weird and slow so I gave up and went to Telewiz shop in Carrefour. They say I have to go to the GSM shop in Sri Racha!!! A friendly farang was trying to get his put on Direct debit and had photocopies of his passport and other stuff and a form. I thought I would go that route but they had no forms left. TIT. I had a nice Subway sandwich to regain my composure.
