 Re: food for thought
Jiminy cricket! That sounds unpleasant! Do you have a photo of this poor soul? I wonder if he's one of the ones I know?

 kudos Monty...
Even bg must have been totally satisfied with your response to his query about what was wrong with the boy.. I'll second the "jiminy cricket" and would also like to see a photo of the boy and I believe it would personalize your cause and increase donations..Food for thought...

 Re: kudos Monty...
Is that an invasion of the boys privacy, regardless of how needy he is
All his medical details and now his photo.
For what reason. If you see his photo you will make a contribution.
If you dont see his photo you wont???????????????
What type of people are we dealing with here. Sick is the first word that comes to mind. And I am not referring to the boy.

 Re: kudos Monty...
One of the reasons the campaign for Somporn was so successful is that it was made personal. We saw his face and heard about his treatment and day-to-day progress. I don't think anything about it was "sick". People want to know to whom and to what they are giving their hard-earned money; it's as simple as that. The more personal the connection, the better.

 Re: kudos Monty...
Can someone tell me where Monty's is?
I'm of the belief that a photo would increase donations. A photo may make the difference between another month or two or rent for the guy.
If Thais4life, or some trusted local Thailand business owner opened a Paypal account, people outside of Thailand could easily contribute to worthy causes from time to time too. It costs nothing. And not all farangs living in Thailand have vast wealth, but a working farang abroad should be able to sacrifice a few dollars or a few Euros from time to time.

lonely wompat darling, I think you are overreacting a tad..
As just mentioned personalizing the appeals for Sompon with photos greatly helped in raising funds for him and no doubt saved his life..In fact I was thinking of Sompon when I suggested a photo.. I didn't think wompats were so vicious.. Actually, I don't know a thing about wompats...
Maybe someone should start a new thread about them..,

I will try to give you up dates on Tony, as far as photos I will ask Tony if he minds us putting them on the forum. Up TO Him,,
The good news is I tookTony to Dr P . last night and he got the thums Up, As he had put on 3 k.g.
I blame my cooking for that, He now is getting back his taste for food, , and he love English food. and I love cooking for him, he is taking all his tablets on time, not T I T time.
More up dates after his next visit to Dr P.
Thanks to all that has helped him.

 Food fot Thought
Latest update, Good news and bad .
No 1 boy Tony went to Dr P. tonight, he is doing o.k.
he brought back a list of creams, iodine, bandages and gorse , for his body sores and contusions, I will get these in the morning and start that treatment.
I dont think you will want to see photos of theose.
But I did ask Tony if he minded us putting his photo 0n the forum. he does not mind, so as soon as I get one I will post it.
Now the bad news Boy No 2 had his H.I.V. test yesterday and it cam back positive.
So tomorrow he will see Dr P to be told where he has to go next for more blood tests and Xrays. when i get the full results I will let you know.
I am not going to use any boys names infuture. thay will be knowen as Boy 1,2,3, and so on.
I am making arrangment to get accomadation for up to 10 of Dr P. Boys. with H.I.V. And will be helped by Thais 4 Life with food vouchers. And many other Caring People.

 second request
Where is Monty's, for those of us that want to drop by a contribution, or can we drop it at Thais 4 life?
Please make it easy for those that want to contribute.
You're doing something very noble.
And I suggest, again, someone trustworthy and known set up a PAYPAL account so those that don't live nearby have a way to easily and safely contribute. As you may know, with Paypal, anyone can send any amount they choose, fee free, and they can pay with a credit card if they want. The money arrives at the destination within minutes.
