Floating LotusWhat's up with these guys? I can't get past the intro page on their website. Are they still in business at all?
Alas, if we but do right under restraint of authoritative observance, where then is the merit?

Floating LotusI thought that they had gone out of business in the last couple of years, sadly, but I may be wrong.
If it's their books that you are looking for, they are listed at Amazon, on the link, although I don't know how many might still be available. http://www.ryanreyes.com/amazon2.htm
BookingI recall seeing something on their Web site a couple of years ago where they gave a reason for closing down operations that didn't make a lot of sense. I believe they are the same people of the Trees of the same forest fame. That was a very useful book although it does contain at least one ineffably silly recommendation - eat rice for a couple of weeks before you visit Thailand otherwise you will stink (to the Thais)
“Avoid whatever is approved of by the mob, and things that are the gift of chance. Whenever circumstance brings some welcome thing your way, stop in suspicion and alarm ...They are snares. ... we think these things are ours when in fact it is we who are caught. That track leads to precipices; life on that giddy level ends in a fall.” - Seneca
Right, they also published The Men Of Thailand and Dear Uncle Go, but my interest in them now is that I link to them and they used to link to the ezboard Sawatdee Forum, and I wanted to get them to change the lnk to point it to this board. I knew that they quit publishing TMOT because of some sort of government pressure, but I thought the website was still up.

How many times has a Web site gone down on you, ES? “Avoid whatever is approved of by the mob, and things that are the gift of chance. Whenever circumstance brings some welcome thing your way, stop in suspicion and alarm ...They are snares. ... we think these things are ours when in fact it is we who are caught. That track leads to precipices; life on that giddy level ends in a fall.” - Seneca
Floating LotusI have not been able to access their website for some time. They used to have The Men of Thailand and Uncle Go online which was nice. They stopped publishing a couplw of years ago blaming the pilitical climate. Very sad as they had some nice books and TMOT was brilliant for first time gay visitors to Thailand.
