I checked AVIS website and did not see any info about GPS, a navigation system. Do car rental companies in Australia have this ?. Thanks.

Someone else also recommended RedSpot http://www.redspotrentals.com.au/v2 which also has GPS for rent (A$22 a day). RedSpot rates seem good as no-excess CDW insurance is included. |

Came back from Australia a few weeks ago. Redspot did have a satellite navigation system for rent at A$16.95+tax a day. It is TomTom, the same navigation system which I have got and have been using in the UK. That helped a lot, because I did not have to learn how to use it. I found driving in Australia very enjoyable this time.

Isnt REDSPOT up at Kings Cross? How much did they charge you,hopefully they charge foreigners more than us Australian residents.
One wonders why you need GPS when you can easily read a street directory. |
