That is a very broad insult and shows a serious lack of intelligence.

A dog is a good idea... if you're old and often alone in a foreign land. Pets generally increase lifespan...

Post beats walking on a threadmill!
Whenever I walk my dog, I always meet people that want to know what she is....she is unusual for here,a Whippet, striped like a tiger. Can break the ice much more easily. Not a substitute but an attribute. She can't replace my boyfriend!!
As a middle aged overweight farang: she is helping me to get back into a better shape. Blood pressure down, weightloss...enjoyment.

I used to walk my Weimaraner along London's Kings Road on a Saturday. In those days (ancient history) they were very unusual in the UK and guaranteed me a pick up every week  blackeye

This thread is for the dogs!

Lets add a "dogs" category to the anual yuk-yuk awards this year, shall we?

Post Obviously, I don't see it as either/or......either!
Having six Golden Retrievers is sometimes a surprising boy magnet, although I can't claim any direct pickups!  :-)  What has been surprising is to see the reaction of various people to six ultra-friendly golden doggies: my farang-in-the-closet friend was revolted ("Doggy Drool!") while some of the Thai guys love my doggies more than they do me <snif>.  But people all of nationalities stop by and want to take just one or two, and brave Win the doggie-wrangler knows enough English to say "No, No!"

Hmm, I doubt there are many Golden Retrievers on this planet who can speak English, Thai, and Karen -- but mine can!  :-)
