I have  some bar updates to you guys overseas reading this.I am a little bit drunk so bear with me.

Most of the time,i am pretty fair in giving reports of bars,and to  be frank with  you,without siding with particular bars/go go s because the owner smiled at me or bent over forwards to help me out,so here goes and remember i tell it as i see it without being nasty ,that is not my intention.only to give you my opinion and my report how i found particular businesseses.Your reports may differ.


LA CAGE BAR- SUNEE PLAZA,  Owner changed hands several months ago,I never see anyone much i there.I wont elaborate on this bar,but i dont find it worthwhile to spend money in.I think little said gives you my impression so to speak.
          They have a happy hour,2 drinks for price of one ,up to 9pm.bar has about 4 workers ,all feminine ladyboy types,i dont find the bar has that "ambience" that it had before when the previous owner had it.
You can save money by going to this bar because you will have to search for someone to serve you.This bar seems to want to cater to the "upper class" type or elite type so if your a working class battler the same as me this bar may not suit you.Though if you go you may learn to talk in a upper class british accent.I give 2 points for there happy hour.2 out of 10 .
BAMBOO BAR tHIS BAR IS SITUATED IN jomtien just near the POLICE BOX.this place ia rip off,get you to continually buy drinks for the boy.
Check your bill they overcharge,all the staff are miserable OLD wanker boys.

]GOOGIES BAR AND RESTAURANTb]this is in day/night area,(old papa davids cafe)

[u]Whilst this is more a restaurant cafe than a drinking type bar,it is still a quiet place to have a drink.
Really this place could become another "Memories" type bar of course without the sex workers available.

My experience and what i could observe is this place is extremely well run.
The food was excellent nothing like the old owner i think called Papa Davids where the food was mostly microwaved,no this establishment has a great tasting breakfast.
You wouldnt want to eat here everyday because of putting on weight but Irish Breakfast with 2 sausages,2 eggs,baked beans,fried toast bacon ,black pudding,coffee and orange juice was i recall 175 baht,so good value.

I noticed they have advertised coffee and a cream muffin or similar for afternoon tea tioo.
I only waited about 10 minutes for the food,the waiters were extra attentive.
I gather the management run it in a strict way,it seems that they fuss over every little detail to make sure you get the best service.I noticed the place was very clean,the waiters were all clean shaven and polite.
Really i would reccomend this place.i would give this place 9 out of 10,except i didnt like the guy behind me smoking.[/u][/u][/u][/b]

EXXIT BARS-JOMTIEN

Checked out exxit bar last night walked past ,no farang inside,boys outside diinterested and bored,didnt seem to hungry for money.
However loved the 2 bars opposite next to Dicks Cafe which i must say was full of farang ,that there were no spare chairs,i would love to try Dicks,has anyone tried a Dick,seems to be full.so cant couldnt get a chair anyway and this was at about 10pm.Seemed to be a lot sitting on Dicks .Who were the guys who got their Dick last night/
Anyway didnt get my Dick as i had already had a mouthful so tried the bars next to it,not too bad,forget the names.
one was a massage bar,drinks 50 baht,small glass,boy drinks 90 baht.about 4 boys in each bar.


BONDI BAR/HOTEL. jomtien

Always a great cup of coffee at the BONDI,I only go for the coffee which you get a bickie too,there seemed to be a lot of older farang well dressed types there,and a farang transexual show was just finisdhing as i arrived.
I love their coffee and a quiet place to sit without being bothered by sex workers.
Although i have heard the new owner is not a wooly moof and will be turning into a normal place for normal people.
great place to relax and drink coffee and   dine and watch a show,one of my favourite places evwen though i dont fit into the "niche" so to speak as i dont dress up to go out,just a t shirt pair of thongs.AND i did feel out of place in this as i saw most farang dress in tailored trousers etc.The quality of the "waiters" seemed a lot higher,even though they didnt bother you.
However i love the cofee and a place to sit ,but i dont really like seeing farang dragshows that much,i think the shows start at 11pm.
60 baht a cup of coffee,a lot of boys but no high pressure to off them which i liked.Waiters were very polite and respectful and went out of their way to be of good service.This place rates highly.They have music entertainment after the dragshow.
the former BJ bar on their patio is closed.

Regarding the rather absurd comments from wx40afp, I believe you are either talking about a different La Cage bar, or do indeed have a personal grudge, or other interest somewhere ! After hearing that it had changed hands a few months ago, I visited La Cage bar, and found it MUCH more friendly than my last visit some time ago. The boys were certainly NOT "all feminine ladyboy types" but were great fun to spend time with! Regular Thai boys.   I agree, the 'ambiance' as you put it has indeed changed, it is no longer camp and cliquey, as it was on my previous visits.  Everyone seems to made welcome now.   All in all, a MUCH nicer place to have a beer or two, and being retired, I find the happy hour certainly to my taste!  

The more I re-read your comments, the more I think you must have some sort of personal bitterness, as I have been there several times recently and been served immediately ... with a smile, which can be rare around here sometimes.   As for your silly 'upper class/ working class' jibes this is just childish complete nonsense, what planet are you on?  Your silliness has made me determined to visit La Cage more often and have a good time ! Only way to get a good report from BBB is for the bars give free drinks and have ladyboys that like to bareback.  He is trying to give good reports but to his eye anything over 50 baht for a drink will mean a bad report.

Forget the free drinks,i dont take anything for free,NOT from anyone,means i will end up owing favours and i dont want to.I always pay my bill,maybe no tip,but always paid.


The "scene" at the moment is very quiet ,especially in Sunee Plaza.And that means less sex workers/working guys .Most bars are lucky to have 2-3 boys available .
MEMORIES BAR-No customers when i went past lastnight,counted 2 guys sitting outside,seemed very pleasant atosmesphere inside,as there was no farang inside.
 
ASIAN MOON CAFE-JOMTIEN COMPLEX-This is a newer all you can eat buffet ,similar to WHITE KNIGHT ,however a lot bigger inside.A lot of mainly straight crowd as well,250 baht ,a large selection of food,soup,a lot of bread rolls with butter,bread,the hot meals,rice etc,plus a selection of cakes and ice cream.
Owner is a younger farang,Londoner,picture Terry from the TV SERIES.MINDER.,maybe its him??????????????????????????????????????????????????/
YES i enjoyed the meal,the staff were very polite,the owner was a fair dinkum /good sort of bloke who as i would call it ,tries very hard to get it right ,he does get nervous working under pressure as you will see,but is a polite guy,but hey ,we only want the flamin food ,however just for entertainmen i like to observe peoples body language,does anyone else get off on this?,AND,at 250 baht its not bad value ,as long as you get your moneys worth.
This place has a lot of staff and i got there early being the first customer,i wanted to make sure i gobbed all the food down so i wouldnt leave anymore for any other fat bastard that was going in there,anyway as usual i filled up my 5 plates at the buffett,THEY WILL HAND YOU A SINGLE PLATE,YES GRAB THAT AND GIVE THE WAITERS A PLATE TO FILL UP FOR YOU TOO,always get the oversupply of waiters this place has to help you carry the other plates to the table.Being the only customer in there at the opening time i was gouging the bread rolls into me,only to look up to see the 4 fuckin waiters standing over my table yapping in Thai ,and we can imagine what they were saying cant we?immediately i looked up at them and said "Am i fuckin wearing something of yours"?
Now,as always you need to buy your drinks separately,yes yes yes,BUT,being a cheapskate,i found they didnt advertise their 59 baht bottle of selection beers,these are hidden and not advertised  on the menu for tightarses like me,so you need to get up off ya fat arses and ask,"DO YOU have any cheaper beers for a tightarse bastard like me" ????? AND they will nod their head and take you to the fridge and show you a KLOSTER beer and a SAN MIGUAL for only 59 baht.Dont try this with the food but.
No give this place a go,pop in and see TERRY,im sure ARFUR is inside somewhere,geez i miss those MINDER episodes we use to have on the ABC.
COFFEE is 60 baht a cup,a bit more i think for a mocha so you need to add this to your food bill.
Place is clean,oversupply of helpful staff.Walking past at 10pm the place was absoloutely packed so get in early.
Food wasnt crash hot,just average,but pretty good for me,only thing is i get this feeling they "watch" you if you take too much.
The chocolate cakes on the buffet are cut up into small pieces and i had a hard time picking up one,so i thought ,fuck it,i will just take the whole fuckin plate,WHEN I HAD A NOSY FARANG WHO ASKED ME,"WHY ARE YOU TAKING THE WHOLE PLATE OF CHOCOLATE CAKE"? i LOOKED UP AT HIM AND SAID",BECAUSE I CAN,THATS WHY,BECAUSE I CAN,YA NOSEY CUNT" Apparently THIS PLACE  also has a breakfast buffet but i cant get up earlier enough to try it.
Give this place a go,as i said food is ok,give it a ok and see what you think.250 plus cost of drinks.JOMTIEN COMPLEX.

ROCKHARD BOYS-JOMTIEN COMPLEX

nOW FOR YOU GENTILES who dont know the JOMTIEN COMPLEX it is situated a 10 baht bus ride from sunee plaza/day night area.
ROCKHARD BOYS,is newer GO GO BAR TYPE PLACE.It has a bar at the front and a slidinng door in between and you walk into a go go bar area with guys on the stage.drink prices 95 baht.Always haggle the price ,they will love you for it.
Must say a good selection of guys.95 BAHT A DRINK.wENT THERE for a time,but as most things ,being a very intelligent human being,i  easily bored and went back to cutting my toe nails. Good to experience it.....................even if its once only.Do pop in,ask to go thru the sliding door.
The code to walking thru the sliding door is "Are the drinks prices 80 baht here"? Say this 3 times preferably to the farang owner.Dont tell them i sent you.

The guys on stage didnt look bored to me,they looked like they were enjoying themselves,nothing like those go go bars you go into where you pay 100 baht a drink after a hour of haggling the price down from 110 baht only to find the guys inside bored shitless and you have a fantasy yaself of getting up on stage and swinging that fat arse side to side,anyone else felt like doing that? This place you can get up there and dance and swing that bubble butt of yours,do it tonight,if im not there start without me.I know a lot of you have secret fantasies of being go go dancers ya silly old queens.
I think this place is worth a visit...............as i said,even if its only once.Then again i noticed a lot of repeat customers because this place has a lot of goodlooking guys ,although not my cup of tea ,i found it a entertaining place with a happy selection of staff.JOMTIEN COMPLEX.

Even though i think i was a bit hard on the LA CAGE BAR, i should of gave it a extra point for having wide angle chairs.

Yes i liked the old LA CAGE,it was once my favourite,but like sands thru the hourglass,things change.

The three times that I've had a cup of coffee there, it was included in the B250 buffet price.  I think all the "specialty coffees" like cafe mocha are extra and are listed on the chalkboard behind the bar.  Maybe that extra B60 on your tab was for overtime for the dishwasher?

KRAZYDRAGON GO GO -SUNEE PLAZA

wENT TO KRAZYDRAGON GO GO ,large premises inside,a lot of go go dancers.
 They have 2 signs up outside,69 baht draught changi,and i ordered that to the shock of the waiter.
This was a great tasting beer in a long glass.Entertainment was good from  the go go dancers didnt cut it for me looks wise although we all have different tastes i didnt see my what i was looking for except i could of easily offed all those handsome waiters
These place has the most stunning waiters and service is very good.
aBOUT 10-12 GO GO DANCERS in here,changi draught beer was 69 baht,a favourite place for me.
There were a lot of farangs inside,i would say nearly 90 % full that i had a hard time finding a chair.

Seems even though its low season some places have more farang customers than go go dancers.
