Very nice article, Dale!  But the first paragraph really threw me!



"  A LONG line of silent monks in rich orange robes walk out of the growing light, the swishing of silk and scuffing of leather sandals whispering their approach on the cool, early morning air."



Scuffling of leather sandals??? I see nary a one, and would be astonished had I seen one, in that long line of the monks walking toward the camera.  



But that's nitpicking.  A very nice article indeed.

I would be equally surprised if the writer had actually seen a monk extending his hand towards a tourist, to ask for payment for a photo opportunity, as described in the last paragraph!
